What is the Lock Forming Machine and How to Debug It Before Use

1. What is a lock forming machine

Lock forming machine, also known as reeling machine, seaming machine, undercutting machine, duct lock forming machine, duct reeling machine, upright lock forming machine, is a multifunctional machine type, mainly used for the lock forming processing of metal sheet connection and circular duct closed connection. The lock forming machine is divided into a multi-function lock forming machine, a joint angle lock forming machine, an insert lock forming machine, a flat lock forming machine, an elbow lock forming machine, and a vertical lock forming machine.

The processing capacity of the lock forming machine is designed for processing ordinary steel plates. The commonly used ordinary thin steel plates, galvanized thin steel plates and plastic composite steel plates all have good lock forming properties. The strength of the stainless steel plate is higher than that of the ordinary steel plate. Before using the stainless steel plate, the forming experiment must be performed first to avoid overloading the equipment, causing wear or mechanical accidents. Due to the poor plasticity of the aluminum plate, it is easy to crack when the lock is formed, and the forming test must be performed before construction. At the same time, due to the elasticity of the aluminum plate, the aluminum plate duct cannot be snapped.

2. Debugging before use of lock forming machine

Before the lock forming machine is used, the guide rail should be debugged in strict accordance with the equipment's debugging requirements, and the guide rail should be fixed to the specified position and size. If the actual position of the guide rail is less than the specified position size, the lock will not be formed; if it is larger than the specified size, the lock size will be out of tolerance due to the feed being too wide, causing the two plates to be unable to lock or waste material ; If the guide rail is skewed severely, it is prone to misalignment defects with uneven width of the lock.

The thickness of the lock forming plate of the lock forming machine should be within the specified range of products of various specifications. If it is less than the thickness, defects such as cracks and wrinkles are likely to occur when the lock is forming; if it is greater than the thickness, the thickness of the plate is proportional to the square of the thickness, and obvious increase in bending force will cause abnormal problems such as damage to the forming rollers, transmission overload, and blocking run.
